      Heizka’s Indoor Tight Buffer Fiber Optic Cable is an all-dielectric, tight-buffered fiber solution engineered for structured cabling inside buildings, data centers, and telecom rooms. Built around an aramid yarn strength member and a compact 0.9mm tight-buffered construction, it is available in singlemode OS2 or multimode OM2/OM3/OM4 fiber types with an LSZH jacket for safe, code-compliant indoor routing.

      Because the cable is fully dielectric, it is immune to electromagnetic interference and safe to route alongside power cabling, making it a dependable choice for LAN backbones, fiber-to-the-desk deployments, and data center cross-connects.       The 61 Series Indoor Tight Buffer cable is available in singlemode OS2 or multimode OM2, OM3, and OM4 fiber, covering everything from short data-center links to long campus backbone runs.

      Can this cable be used outdoors?

      No. This is an indoor-rated, tight-buffered cable with an LSZH jacket. For outdoor runs, choose Heizka’s Outdoor Stranded Loose Tube Non-metallic or Steel Tape Armor fiber cables, which are rated for UV exposure and wider temperature ranges.

      What is the difference between OM3, OM4, and OS2?

      OM3 and OM4 are multimode fibers optimized for shorter, high-bandwidth links (up to 550m at 10GbE for OM4); OS2 is singlemode fiber built for long-haul links up to 200km. Choose multimode for data center and LAN runs, and singlemode for campus or long-distance backbone links.

      Why use an all-dielectric, aramid-yarn strength member?
