The Heizka US type faceplate HEA14701 is the narrow, 14*70 mm front plate used where an outlet has to sit inside a US style back box or a modular wall trunking aperture rather than a square European pattress. It is supplied in the 1 port configuration and is fully equipped for all standard RJ45 keystone jacks, so it takes the Heizka HEAKJU6W CAT6 keystone jack without an adaptor.
The front plate carries white paper and a label holder for identification, which is what lets an outlet be tied back to a patch panel port and a test result. On a project of any size that label is the difference between tracing a circuit in seconds and tracing it with a toner. Installation is quick and easy: the jack clips into the aperture from behind and the plate fixes to the box with the standard screw centres.

The US type faceplate is ordered separately from the jack it houses. A complete outlet position is one HEA14701 plus one keystone jack; specify the jack category — CAT6 or above — from the class of the horizontal cable being terminated.

US Type Faceplate Installation Notes
Decide the faceplate pattern at design stage rather than on site, because the back box that gets built into the wall is what fixes the choice. Leave a short service loop of horizontal cable in the box so the jack can be re-terminated later without pulling slack from the containment. Fill the label holder as the outlet is terminated, using the same identifier that appears on the patch panel port and on the certification report.
Where a floor mixes trunking runs with masonry walls, the US type faceplate normally serves the trunking and modular positions while the square plate serves the wall boxes. Agreeing that split before first fix keeps the outlet schedule clean and stops two plate patterns being ordered for the same position. Keep a small stock of the US type faceplate on site for the positions that inevitably move during fit-out, and record the plate type against each outlet in the schedule so a later refit does not have to be surveyed from scratch.
