Wall Mount Cabinets – T Type
The T Type is Heizka’s deeper wall mount cabinet, specified when the equipment will not fit a slim enclosure. It is 600 mm wide and available in 450 mm or 600 mm depth across five heights up to 15U, which gives room behind the mounting profile for deeper switches, small UPS units, power strips, and the cable management that a shallow box cannot absorb. Where wall projection is the limiting factor and the load is light patching, use the slim W Type wall mount cabinet instead.
T Type Sizes and Model Codes
Ten published variants cover 4U through 15U in two depths. The 450 mm depth is the general-purpose choice; the 600 mm depth matches the depth of an entry-level floor-standing frame and is the one to pick when rear cable routing or deeper active hardware is involved.

Construction and Load
The frame is SPCC quality cold rolled steel with a 1.5 mm mounting profile and 0.8–1.0 mm remaining components — heavier gauge than the slim W Type, consistent with the deeper equipment it is meant to carry. The structure is a steel frame with assistant profile, supplied unassembled for flat-pack shipping, which lowers freight volume and transit damage on multi-site rollouts. Static loading is rated 30 kg to 60 kg. The back panel carries four mounting holes for fixing to structure. Finish is powder-coated steel, shown in black. The L-shaped mounting profile is adjustable along the mounting rail, so equipment of varying depth can be aligned to a common front plane.
Access, Cooling, and Cabling
The front door is 5 mm tempered glass and opens more than 180 degrees, giving clear front access in tight plant rooms. A fan cutout is provided on the top panel so a cooling fan can be added without modifying the enclosure — worth planning for at 12U and 15U, where the heat load of populated active equipment starts to matter. Cable entry ports are provided top and bottom. The range is built to ANSI/EIA RS-310-D, IEC 297-2, DIN 41491 Part 1, DIN 41491 Part 7, and ETSI, so standard 19-inch hardware mounts conventionally.
Typical Applications
The T Type suits floor distribution closets, MDF and IDF rooms in commercial fit-outs, hotel service risers, manufacturing plant offices, and campus buildings where a full rack cabinet is not justified but a shallow box would leave equipment unsupported. Which depth should I order, 450 mm or 600 mm?
Measure the deepest device you intend to mount, then add clearance for power cords and patch cord bend radius at the rear. If that total approaches 450 mm, order the 600 mm depth. Depth is the one dimension that cannot be corrected on site.
How much equipment can the cabinet hold?
Static loading is published as 30 kg to 60 kg depending on model. Weigh your intended load, including patch panels, active equipment, and any UPS, and confirm against the specific model on the datasheet before fixing to the wall.
Does the cabinet ship assembled?
No. The T Type uses an unassembled structure for flat-pack shipping. It is built on site, which reduces shipping cost and handling damage across large projects.
Can it be wall fixed to any surface?
The back panel provides four mounting holes for structural fixing. Fix to structure or to a properly rated backing, never to unreinforced plasterboard, and rate the fixings for the cabinet plus its full equipment load.
