The Heizka CAT6 Patch Cord is the everyday workhorse of the Heizka copper patch cord range — a factory-terminated RJ45 to RJ45 cord for 1000 Base-T Gigabit Ethernet links between the patch panel, the switch and the desk. Each CAT6 patch cord is built with stranded 28AWG to 24AWG conductors and a 3.8 mm jacket, so it coils neatly in a cable manager and survives repeated re-patching.
Full IEEE 802.3bt support — Types 1 to 4, up to 90 W — means the same CAT6 patch cord powers access points, PTZ cameras, LED lighting and desk phones without a separate power run. The cord is snagless, with a moulded strain-relief boot that keeps the RJ45 lock tab from catching and snapping as cords are pulled from a dense bundle.

Frequently Asked Questions
Snagless means a moulded boot covers the RJ45 latch. When the cord is pulled out of a dense bundle the boot deflects other cables away from the lock tab so it cannot catch and snap off.
A broken latch is the most common reason a patch cord is retired, so the boot directly extends service life.
The CAT6 Patch Cord supports IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at and the full 802.3bt range, Types 1 to 4, up to 90 W. That covers PoE, PoE+ and PoE++ loads such as PTZ cameras, wireless access points, LED lighting and video phones.
U/UTP is unshielded and the easiest to route in the patch field. F/UTP adds an overall foil screen and S/FTP adds a foil screen per pair plus an overall braid.
Pick a shielded cord where the patching runs near motors, lifts or heavy power cabling, and match it with a shielded outlet and an earthed patch panel.
CM is a general-purpose communications-rated jacket. LSZH is low smoke zero halogen and is specified for enclosed public spaces, tunnels, transport hubs and many EU projects because it emits far less smoke and no halogen gas in a fire.
Standard lengths are 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 metres, with custom lengths available through the X code. Six jacket colours are offered — blue, gray, black, orange, purple and white — across CRM, CM, LSZH and PVC jacket ratings.
The patch cord uses stranded conductors so it stays flexible through repeated patching, and it ships factory-terminated with RJ45 plugs. The fixed horizontal run should instead use solid-conductor Heizka 61 Series CAT6 installation cable punched down onto a patch panel and outlet.
Packaging & Delivery
Every CAT6 Patch Cord is individually bagged with the length and part number on the label, then packed in cartons sorted by length and colour so stock is easy to control on site.
Cords ship factory-terminated and 100% tested, so no field termination or certification of the cord itself is needed. Custom lengths and mixed colour packs are built to order using the X length code.
