Fibre Optic Raceway & Fiber Tray
Heizka Fiber Tray is designed for professional cable management, ensuring secure routing and neat organization of optical fibers in data centers and communication systems. The system is an enclosed PVC raceway: a channel with a matching snap-on cover, plus a full set of fittings that carry the route around corners, up and down between levels, and into equipment rows. Seven straight-section sizes are published, from a 60 × 60 mm branch channel to a 600 × 100 mm main run.

Note the 60 series is a 1000 mm section; the 120 through 600 series ship in 2000 mm lengths. Overall dimensions include the flange and cover profile, which is the figure to use when checking clearance above a cabinet row or through a ceiling penetration, not the nominal width.
Material, Flame Rating and Compliance
Channel and cover are PVC; fittings are produced in PVC and ABS. The standard color is yellow, the convention that marks a route as fiber-only at a glance in a mixed pathway. Plastics are specified as UL94-V0 self-extinguishing, meaning vertical-burn samples self-extinguish within the V-0 time limits and do not drip flaming particles — the top rating in that test series. Plastic components are stated as RoHS compliant. The system is specified for indoor use in data centers, telecommunication exchanges and equipment rooms.
Bend-Radius Control
The channel and every fitting are shaped to maintain a minimum bend radius of 30 mm. That is the single most important property of a fiber pathway: exceeding a fiber’s minimum radius drives macrobend loss that appears as an unexplained dB penalty on a commissioned link and can worsen over time as the cable settles. Building the radius into the pathway hardware itself removes the dependency on installer discipline, which is why enclosed raceway is preferred over open basket tray for high-count fiber in a data hall.
Fittings and Assembly
Each series has a matching fitting set: connectors, 90° horizontal elbows, up and down elbows, horizontal and vertical tees, cutting-in tees, horizontal crosses and end-cap kits. Cutting-in tees are the ones that matter during operation — they let a new branch be dropped into an existing populated main run without breaking the route apart. Connector kits join channel and fittings quickly, and no screws are required for normal installation, which keeps a route reconfigurable rather than permanent.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I size the main run against the branch drops?
Work backward from the equipment rows. Size branch channels for the trunk count they carry, then sum those into the main. The published range gives seven widths from 60 mm up to 600 mm at a common 100 mm depth for the larger series, so the main can be stepped down through 360, 300, 240, 150 and 120 as fiber peels off along the route.
Is the 30 mm bend radius adequate for the cable I am installing?
Check it against the cable’s own published minimum. Bend-insensitive G657A fiber tolerates tight radii comfortably; conventional G.652 cable and multi-tube outdoor cable have larger minimums driven by cable diameter rather than fiber type. The raceway maintains 30 mm — the cable specification governs above that.
Can the raceway be modified after the room is live?
Yes. Cutting-in tees are made for exactly that, and the screwless connector kits mean a section can be opened, extended and re-closed without disturbing the fiber already in the channel.
Are the covers ordered separately from the channel?
Covers carry their own item numbers — 38111 for the 60 series, 38192 for the 120, 38411 for the 150, 38611 for the 240, 38711 for the 300 and 38811 for the 360 — so confirm cover quantities alongside channel quantities when you build the takeoff.
